CMI, Corporación Multi Inversiones, strengthens its commitment to sustainability and innovation in the food industry with the expansion of its plant in Masagua, Escuintla. The addition of a new extrusion line increases pet food production capacity by over 60%, reinforcing its position in Central America and the Caribbean.
This project, which includes iconic brands such as Rufo, Rambocan, Alimax, and Alimiau, also integrates advanced technology to ensure quality and safety, aligning with the corporation’s sustainable values and objectives.
Significant Increase in Production Capacity
The Masagua plant has now increased its production capacity from 15 metric tons per hour (MT/Hr) to 25 MT/Hr, allowing it to efficiently meet the growing demand in both local and international markets. This upgrade benefits pet food products, as well as fish feed under the Fontana brand and horse feed under the Sangre Real brand.
The automation of processes and the implementation of advanced control systems guarantee product quality and safety. With over 60 years of experience backing the Aliansa brand, CMI reaffirms its ongoing commitment to excellence at every stage of production.
Commitment to Innovation
Gabriel Eisemberg, General Director of the B4B (Business for Business) Unit, emphasized that this expansion marks the beginning of many solutions that CMI offers to its consumers.
“We celebrate this evolution and automation, which will strengthen our production capacity and allow us to remain pioneers in the regional market,” he stated.
Meanwhile, Eduardo Romero, General Director of B4C (Business for Consumer), highlighted the leadership of Rufo and Alimiau in Guatemala and how this expansion will drive further growth across the region.
